| For the Last 14 years I have worked helping the Royal Childrens Hospital Appeal. This is one great day... To see all people accross Victoria coming together helping out a good cause. I sometimes finish at 7am from my normal job then head off to help on the appeal then coming back to work for my shift. Though it will be a long day for me, it's all worth it. The one thing that always brings me back is a memory of a little boy handing in money that he saved up in a paper bag. Though it only added up around $7 it took my heart. That this little kid was willing to give his last cent to someone that he will never know or see. But thats what its all about. To help out those in need and never want anything in return. There is always great entertainment throughout the day for all to enjoy. And the stars come out to lend a hand as well. Either it be Sports or TV they come together without a thought. The CFA, Police and plenty of other organisations do ther part as well. Donating time and collecting money as well. At the end of the day all money is counted and a final total is then produced. And every year the amout is beaten. This is due to the kind hearted people throughout Victoria. Lets just hope this keeps happening. |
