Started doing Tai Chi due to not being able to continue doing Karate because of nagging knee injuries. Was introduced by a good friend of mine who has several years of Martial Arts experience. At first I thought nothing of it and showed no interest at all. But after being coaxed into it I attended my first class. To my amazement I enjoyed it a lot. This form is so graceful and relaxing for the mind as well as the body. The people in there are all great. There are no hot heads, show offs that you get in most clubs. All that attend have so much respect for one another. The location is just great as well, just 5 min from the CBD. The Style that is taught at the school is Yang Style. They also have Kung Fu classes as well. The first form that I have learnt was the Beijing 10 Form and have now moved to Beijing 24 form |

I have never felt better in my life after coming to the classes. I have also joined the Chi Gung class as well. There is also going to be practitioners coming soon to relieve those acing bodies as well. This is a great idea for there are no schools that I know of that combined all these elements in one place. The teacher there is Sifu Paul Bowden. He is a very down to earth person. He has so much time for all that is in his class and teaches all that was passed on to him. Every year he takes a pilgrimage to China and invites any member of the school to join him. They all enjoy it and come back with more then they expected and understanding way of life. I am hoping one day that I will be able to make that journey as well one day. Sefu Paul Bowden's mentor is Master Tung Lai Wei, who has been studying martial art since a child. This guy is amazing and he and Sifu Paul have my deepest respect. For the time that I have been there I have learnt a lot from them. I would like to thank Dai Sing Ray for putting me in this circle as well.... thank you brother. |
