He began to experience with photography and making of short films from 1987. Later he studied Cinema at the Art University in Tehran (1989-1993).
In 1994 Ramin moved to the Netherlands where he also studied at the Dutch Film and Television Academy in Amsterdam (1997-1999).
In recent years he has been living and working periodically in Tehran and Amsterdam. Ramin's last film was a documentary titled Jews of Iran
which got lots of attention especially in US.
Ramin has written, directed, edited and produced several films and videos. His other activities are photography, translating, writing and blogging.
