'83 Capri 351w Twin Turbo'd
This is my second attempt to build a web page. Please bear with me as I try to get things going. This is the index page. Each picture will get you to the story page. I built this website to help my fellow car nuts get the most from their cars and too show what can be done if you put your mind to it. Read the stories and enjoy. If you have any comments please email me so I can get this site as good as possible. PS. I am HTML stupid.
This has the basic Capri stuff plus all the '68 Ranchero5.0 EFI conversion stuff, my '68 Fairlane 500 stuff, '69 Mustang resto stuff, and the Fox body freebies stuff.
NEW CAR
'93 Lx 5.0 Page
This is my new commuter car, a '93 Calypso Corral hatch with a huge list of mods. This car could have been a show car for Ford Motorsport. Most of the mods were done in '94, including the Patxon SN-92 blower.
Finally got to run this car, made a 13.623 @ 105.44mph with a 2.2+ 60' on a heat soaked motor with hot lapping. It took seven tries to get it running straight and consistent. These runs were after driving it 60 miles from work in the Baltimore MD area to Mason dixon so I am happy.
The Capri Pages
This will take you from the old site and the basic stuff to this sites 351 work and turbocharger installs.
Or how to take a $500 beater and build a street monster for as little as possible. All pre 351w TT work. Shows the 3.55 geared 8.8" Turbocoupe disc brake rear swap, 11" front disc brake upgrade, '88 brake booster and large bore master cylinder upgrades, MAC equal shorty headers, 2 1/2" H pipe, 3 chamber flowmasters, Holley 650, Edelbrock performer 289, '88 GT turbine wheels, '89 GT seats and of course the beloved Saleen wing.
A page showing the work I had to do to get the Saleen whale tail wing to fit on the bubble hatch of the Capri.
(Back at the .Stangnet page)
A page showing the work involved with making your own strut tower brace from mild steel tubing.
A page showing the work involved with making your own subframe connectors from mild steel tubing.
What I had to do to these PAW rebuilt '66 289 heads so they would work with the 351w for the Capri. Specificly opening the chambers up for the turbos, and reworking the ports for increased flow.
Some of what's required to swap a 351w into a Fox chassis car.
(under construction)
Capri Intercooler Install Page
Shows the work I had to do to get the turbocoupe intercoolers to fit in front of the capri's radiator.
(under construstion)
Turbo install work, specificly exhaust routing, oil lines, and heat shielding.

Just the results and whats going on now
