EPISODE #27: Unfinished Business Originally Aired: 9/14/02
Summary: Three thin beams of light are piercing the night sky when they converge on the broken mask of Zen-Aku, making it whole. Early the next morning. Merrick is busy practicing his lunar break shot with ordinary pool balls and table at the bar he lives in, whne the man that lets him live there asks him way he always practices that shot and if he gets tired of it. Merrick simply shrugged. The man decides Merrick needds to learn a new shot and shows him one using only the cue ball. Suprised that man can play pool, Merrick gets ready to play a game with him, but the wind calls him and he has to leave. When he arrives on the scene, Merrick is faced by Zen-Aku, who is able to produce himself a body. They begin to fight (Merrick morphed), but Zen-Aku quickly gains the upper hand. Princess Shayla calls the rangers, who were enjoying ice cream in a park, from the Animarium and tells them to help Merrick. They arrive there but Merrick says it is his battle and they should stay out of it. They grant his request, but just as Zen-Aku is about to finish him off, Alyssa (morphed) grabed Merrick and they both jumped into a river. Unmorphed and angry, Merrick yells at Alyssa for getting involved. He quickly morphed and called his savage cycle to go after Zen-Aku. They fight again but both end up falling off a cliff. The rangers look, but can not find Merrick. Merrick's savage cycle, which he got off of to battle, reverts back into the wolf crystal. The Rangers pick it up and go to the Animarium to form a plan. While there they learn from the princess that Zen-Aku is strong because his power is no longer divide betwen himself, Merrick and the predazord. The rangers go to sleep planing to look more tomorrow. That night though, Merrick is sitting around a camp fire when he is attacked by Zen-Aku. Merrick morphs and they fight, but again Merrick is beginning to lose. Back on the Animarium, the wolf zord walks the rangers up and tells them to help. They go to where Merrick is, who was defeated and unmorphed by Zen-Aku, early that morning. They tell him that they are a team and they want to help him. He accepts their help and is able to break the horn of the enlarged Zen-Aku using his predazord, the armadillo, and the one ball pool shot that the guy taught him, causing Zen-Aku to finally be destroyed. The rangers (minus Merrick) have a hawian party on the Animarium, while Merrick finishes the game he started with the guy.
