Final Exit
When the bright lights go down tonight
I'll be standin' on the stage alone
No more pretendin' to be a star
No more tryin' to be known

I haven't had an easy life
I worked hard each step of the way
Always chasin' my dreams and hopes
But losin' them in every play

So tired of playin' someone else
It's my turn now to be me
But I've lived to long upon the stage
And there's no audience to see

Tonight there's no curtain call
There's no entrances to stall
No one to care if I fall-
It's just my final exit

The lights blink out- the stage is black
I'm wrapped in Nightshade's tender arms
While she comforts me, the world recedes
And I contemplate her charms

Just time for one last look around
As I'm sinkin' down to the floor
I may be shakin' but I'm not afraid
Just waitin' at Death's open door

Tonight there's no curtain call
There's no entrances to stall
No one to care if I fall-
Just my final exit

No more make up- it's only me
Leavin' all life's insanity!

So now the world's all offstage
My play of life, filled with sorrow
Will soon be done as I lived it-
Alone- and I know that tomorrow...

There'll be no curtain call
No more entrances to stall
No one cared 'bout me at all
To see my final exit.
