Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah |
Evil people from the future come to earth and treat the Japanese respectfully. They tell of Godzilla destroying Japan in the future and the only way to rid of him is to go back in time and put the helpless Godzillasaurus near Alaska in the ocean where there is no radiation. It is a success but what the Japanese don't know is that the futurians but the dorats in the Godzillasaurus place. King Ghidorah is formed out of the dorats and comes to destroy Japan. The Japanese send a sub to revive Godzilla to help them kill King Ghidorah. The sub arrives but finds that Godzilla is alive! Godzilla asorbs the sub's energy and grows to an amazing 100 meters! Godzilla gets up and swims towards Ghidorah. King Ghidorah fights some aircraft and of course wins. Godzilla shows up and battles the three headed dragon. Godzilla in the end slices off King Ghidorah's middle neck with his heat ray sending it flying. Godzilla now with attitude, comes toward Supporo and destroys the city. Emmy and M11 from the futurains befriend the humans and revive King Ghidorah to fight Godzilla. King Ghidorah arrives in the form of Mecha King Ghidorah and fights Godzilla once again. Mecha King Ghidorah who is badly injured uses it's last of his energy to dump Godzilla in the sea and going with him. Godzilla revives himself in the ocean and he is ready for another attack on Japan. |
Great History! |
Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah is one of the greatest of the series to have to do with The Big G's history. We now know that Godzilla did not survive from the Jurassic period but was a Godzillasaurus on Lagos island who turned into who we know now Godzilla! He transformed into Godzilla by the H-bomb tests of the 40's. The scientests during the first part of "Gojira" were way off track with Godzilla's history! |
Relaesed to Japan: 1991 |
Released to America on video in 1999 |

Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah has it's strong and weak points. First the strong. The special effects are greatly improved over the older Godzilla films. (Godzilla vs. Biollante is not an older Godzilla film) King Ghidorah has come back with greater detail and looks more realistic. Mecha King Ghidorah is one of the coolest monsters ever that Toho has created. The buildings are more detailed then ever. Even though Toho did not spend as much money as they did Godzilla vs. Biollante it is really cool! Some weak parts in the film is the changing of Godzillasaurus and dorats. Godzillasaurus is 10 times bigger then the dorats yet Godzilla is smaller then King Ghidorah. They were exposed to the same amount of radiation! Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah might have greater special effects then the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's but Godzilla vs. Mothra which came the following year had much greater. The missiles in Godzilla vs. Biollante were more realistic then in this movie. Overall, Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah is not the greatest but then again not the worst! |
Three/Two Heads make history! |
Did you Know? |
- I have seen Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah so many times that I know almost every line! Thats the only Godzilla movie I can do that with! |
- In the book "Godzilla King of The Movie Monsters" They don't show the face of Godzilla in Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah at all! |
- The person playing Godzilla passed out during the production of Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah |
My Opinion |
Story |
When King Ghidorah loses his neck in Godzilla vs King Ghidorah it became one of the most memorable moments in Godzilla's history. It became known in video games, toys where you can pull off Ghidorah's middle neck, and much more! |
