Godzilla vs. Gigan |
Story |
Alein cockroaches, called the nebulans, have come to earth to conquer, but act as humans. The Nebulans come from the planet, Nebula M. Spacehunter. They take control of an amusement park which holds Godzilla Tower. This Godzilla Tower now is the secret base of the nebulans who now unleash King Ghidorah, and a new monster to the series, Gigan. They wreck havoc all over Japan. Buildings are crushed, ships destroyed, and planes blowing up into peices. However, Machiko, a man not trusting the nebulans, play a tape that alerts Godzilla. Godzilla orders Angurius to aid him if there is a battle. Godzilla and Angurius arrive and wage a long war with Gigan and King Ghidorah. Godzilla and Angurius are on the brink of loosing when Machiko and Gengo, a friend of Machiko, blow up Godzilla Tower. This leaves Gigan and Ghidorah stunned. Godzilla and Angurius go in and finish them off, making them fly back into space until they try to conquer earth again. |
My opinion |
Godzilla vs. Gigan is my third favorite G-Film, just behind Godzilla vs. Biollante and Godzilla 1985. The effects are much better then it's sequal, Godzilla vs. Megalon. Gigan is a very original foe. Though he always leaves a match when outnumbered, he still proves to be worthy. The soundtrack is nice to listen to. The movie itself is both fun but keeps a message, likable characters and the final battle is one of the longest in the G-Series. If you have an imagination and can open you're mind to other things, you will love this movie. If you can only watch a movie for without any imagination involved, you are just going to have the laugh of your life. Personaly, I say go with this film. Hey, it's always nice to watch a fun film like this then to always watch serious films! |
Did You Know? |
-The Return of King Ghidorah was slated to be the sequal to Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster. This film would of had Godzilla, Rodan, and Varan fighting King Ghidorah, Gigan, and Mogu, a new type of monster. |

Angilas?!? |
Not once in the entire film does Angilas get credit for driving away Gigan and Ghidorah. |
