Boys’ Night
Out is a four piece group based in the Antelope Valley that performs a wide
variety of music. The band’s goal is to
entertain folks and have a whole lotta’ fun in the process, playing via a broad
range of influences that include 50’s/60’s Oldies and R&B, Blues and
50’s/60’s/70’s & 80’s Rock n’ Roll.
Boys’ Night Out members
include Kelly Farrington, Randy Bushee,
Roger La Chasse and Bill
Magruder.
The band first
assembled in November of 2000 and has performed at Louisiana Hots, the Desert
Inn, the Rendezvous in Santa Clarita, the Rock Inn in Lake Hughes, the Hyatt
Hotel in Valencia, Antelope Valley Country Club, J.J.’s Bar in Little Rock,
Mickey’s Pub in Ridgecrest, the Cal City, Quartz Hill and Lancaster
V.F.W.’s, the Lancaster American
Legion, the Annual Police Canine Event/Demo at the College of the Canyons, the
Warehouse in Marina Del Rey, grand openings, special events and numerous
private parties and car shows.
Kelly Farrington has been
performing professionally for the past 30+ years and is one of the premier
guitarists in Southern California. His
soulful lead vocals will make folks in the audience stand up and take
notice. Kelly has an extensive
background in the Southern California music scene and over the years has played
with the likes of Spencer Davis, Jimmy Witherspoon, and Hilton Valentine, just
to name a few.
Randy "The
Ran-Man" Bushee hails from Orlando, Florida. He is the Boys’ utility man adding Hammond organ, piano, strings,
brass/horn, and orchestral voices to the band. In addition, he lends his lead vocal and guitar talents to the
band's growing list of Top 40 hits.
Randy has performed in clubs all over the USA and Europe. He spent the 70’s and 80’s playing the USO
circuits in Belgium, Iceland, and England.
The Boys’ rhythm section
consists of Billy Magruder on bass and Roger “Meatball” La Chasse on
drums. These guys are the heart of the
group, providing the beat, bottom and the rhythm as well as back-up
vocals. Over the years, “Meatball” has
played with the likes of John Lee Hooker, Big Mama Thornton, Johnny Otis, Big
Joe Turner, Canned Heat and Rod Piazza, to name a few.
