Presbyterian Church
This Church is now completely disused and the sign almost illegible.
It reads "North Redesdale Presbyterian Church 1869".
Thanks to Ken James I can now add the following -
This church was built in 1875 by the Bible Christians, a group based on the teachings of Charles Wesley.
(In 1902, the Bible Christians, Wesleyans and Primitive Methodists joined to form the Methodist Church of
Australasia.
The building was sold later in the century to the Presbyterians and they held services in the building up to
around 1914, when they were discontinued, and held in the Lyal State School. Services were recommenced
in the building after refurbishment in 1925.
During the 1960's many members of the church left the district and the remaining members decided in
1965 to dicontinue services and join the nearby Mia Mia congregation.
