Neil Street Uniting Church
(formerly Wesleyan)























This is a very interesting group of churches that bears witness to the rapid increase in popularity of the Wesleyan faith in the Ballarat area in the mid to late 1800's. The three churches are all on the one site with the first church built in 1861. The second was constructed shortly after in 1867. The congregation seems to have continued to expand and the third, and final, church was completed in 1892. The oldest church seems to be used now for storage while the second church is now the Sunday School.
