I discovered your web site quite by mistake,
but I still took a peek,
I did not know what was awaiting or what I would seek.
Sadness came quickly as I read on and on,
How devastating to read of childhood innocence gone.
In every instance it was cruelly stolen away without a care,
Leaving instead a frightening and dark nightmare.
It's important for each of them to know they had no control,
Although it ripped away their innocence,
it never reached their soul.
For they can soar above this darkness and know
they are still pure,
They can stand tall and find comfort
they shall never have to endure.
The pain and horror at another's hand ever again,
For I believe there will soon come a time
for the one's to blame,
To pay the price for the hurt they've caused
and for them to now cry,
And finally for the victim to be empowered
and look them in the eye.
And to show they are no longer a frightened victim
but are in control,
Of their very being and of their very soul.
To each of you - Stay strong and believe...
Keep up your wonderfully gifted poems!
I enjoyed you sharing them with
me.
With a hug,
A caring individual
