Jay DeMarcus

Jay was a memeber of East to West when he first moved to Nashville in the early '90's. When I was 7 years old, my friends and I were put on a "Jay and Neal ban" because we talked about them too much. Jay earned a few awards writing and producing for other gospel groups/artists  including Best Gospel Record (Michael English) - Dove Awards. He also produced for Michael English. Jay has produced for other musicans like, David Parker's Where I Belong album. Jay seems to be the group's bussiness side, maybe one day he'll have his own production company. I wouldn't be suprised in the least... he'll need something to do when the arthritis kicks in and he can't play his guitar anymore.

Introducing Mr. Smooth, with his ultra smooth vaters, playing his amazingly smooth groove, on his remarkably smooth drum set, singing his devilishly smooth vocals!

Jay is in charge of backup vocals and bass guitar. Jay recently married Allison Alderson (Now Allison DeMarcus). From what I have been told Jay and Allison were married on Gary and his wife's anniversary. Jay and Allison gave Joe Don the idea of where to propose to his girl friend.

Jay is known as the oddball Flatt! He is the jokester of the group with something funny to say all the time. He  has earned himself the nickname “The Jayster” by his most loyal of fans. Jay is notorious (or should I say infamous) for wearing mismatched converse sneakers!  THAT’S OUR JAY!!!!! Ya gotta love him!!!!!
