A Journal for Western Man-- Issue XXVIII-- December 15, 2004

Alexander Lukashenko ordered all of country's enterprises, both state and private, to introduce the post of Deputy Director for Ideology. The BBC Russian service reported that such instructions have already been sent out by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. It quoted the president of the Belarusian Union of Entrepreneurs Alexander Patupa, who stated:" In fact, we can ignore all that and not follow these stupid instructions. However, they may halt our activities for that. You know well how easily they do it these days," complained Patupa.
