The Rational Argumentator A Journal for Western Man-- Issue III |
||||||||||||
The Rule of I G. Stolyarov II The self must not embrace the lie That doth its worthlessness identify. The demagogues its preciousness decry And human brilliance do stupefy. It would be suicidal to comply, Your fortress gates open to pry, A vulgar hand, malignant eye Let in that it may liberties deny. And yet I plead: emit no sigh, Nor agonized and desperate cry. A wondrous option’s left to try, What can be called, “The Rule of I.” Toward the paradigm never do ply, Always ask questions, faith defy, And knots of doubt progressively untie While stating outright what you imply, Seek to recover matters gone awry, And facts with logic to aspiring mind apply, One’s own existence beautify, With greatness dwell on structures high, See clearly through deception sly, High over mediocrity do fly, Withstand the heat which Icarus did fry, And strive forever, never oneself satisfy. Always pursue the splendid “Why?”, Define the cosmos using the possessive, “My”, A deity become and never die. That is the essence of pure rule of I! |
