Big Ben ‘to go digital’ by 2009

The big clock in London, which is attached to the place where Tony Blair works, called Big Ben, is to be converted to a digital screen from its old and traditional fingers.  The decision to do this has been discussed since 2005 and everyone wants it to happen, although there is actually no proof that we do.  Prime Minister Blair also said that the bell chime would be replaced with a big ‘beep’ just like in a digital watch.  He also said “there will also be a night light on it and there will be countdown timers, an alarm and a stopwatch too”.  The good thing about the stopwatch feature is that it can be used to time people in the marathons that is always going on.  Everyone in Britain will get a Big Ben Remote Control, which will allow everyone to use Big Ben.  The Remote control could look something like this:

To apply for your remote control, please email
