Lex was getting out of the hospital today. The doctors assured Clark that Lex’s short-term memory was completely wiped. Everything leading up to his capture and incarceration in the sanitarium was gone. And it was likely that he would have a great deal of trouble with his memory for a long time.
Clark wished it was that simple. Lex didn’t remember a moment of his betrayal. There was no reason to beg for his forgiveness. It would be so much easier if that made it alright. Lex couldn’t even remember the ultimate betrayal by his friend’s hands.
