Welcome to Ravens Roost #41 of York, Pennsylvania (the first original Ravens Roost). This organization was founded in 1997 by a small group of people who wanted to follow and cheer for the Baltimore Ravens football team when they arrived in Baltimore. Now over 100 members strong, we are a chapter of a larger group known as the Council of Baltimore Ravens Roosts that has over 2,500 members like ourselves and promotes football in Baltimore.

As a group we have many organized events and also raise money for charity. Our current charity is Access York, to which we donate several times during the year. We have tried to develop our group as a family organization and plan our events so that your entire family may be involved.

TailgatesTailgating
Tailgate parties for Ravens regular season away games are also held at the Cove Restaurant. The Cove has a large screen TV and a small buffet for members.
Tailgate parties for Ravens regular season home games are held at Ravens Stadium. We tailgate for approximately three hours before the game until one hour before kickoff. After the game we gather for about an hour to tailgate and discuss the game.

SuperBowl 35 Party
Our Tailgate Party at the Cove on Super Sunday 2001 brought out 82 ravenous fans to watch the Ravens win the Super Bowl. Thanks to manager Brian Downie for a great buffet and for his hospitality thoughout the season. (Click on Super Bowl 35 for party photos.)
This year the Cove again showed the Super Bowl on their big screen.

FundraisingFundraising
We hold an annual raffle for a set of two Ravens season tickets. This is our largest fundraising event. The tickets are sold during the early summer and the winner is awarded the tickets in early July in time for the start of the pre-season. Last year we raised a record amount for our charity - Access Shelter of York. The 2003 Season Tickets winner drawn at the Cove Restaurant on June 28 was Shaun McKee. Terry Ruby was the winner of the signed Ray Lewis jersey.

The Roost also has a second fundraiser during the winter. This is our pizza sale usually held near the holidays or close to the Super Bowl. This year a record number of pizzas were sold by roost members.

Christmas PartyChristmas Party
The family Christmas party is held at the Cove Restaurant. We have a very nice buffet and gifts for the children. This season we celebrated at the Cove on Saturday, December 13.
Roost #41 PicnicRoost #41 Picnic
The Roost #41 family picnic is held during the summer. This year's party was held at the Springfield Bowling Center in July.
Pool PartyRoost #41 Pool Party
The pool party is held during the summer for adults 21 and over. This year's party was held at a members house in August.

Events Sponsored By The Council of Ravens Roosts

We also support the following events sponsored by the Council of Ravens Roosts in Baltimore.

Ravens Roost Convention
The annual convention is held during the first part of June in Ocean City, Maryland. During this three day event there is a volleyball tournament, a parade, a dance, and a kite flying contest and even an opportunity to meet a Ravens player or two. The convention is a lot of fun for the entire family. The 2004 Convention will be held June 4-6.

Bull and Oyster Roast
The Council Bull and Oyster Roast is held in February or March each year in Baltimore. There is a buffet, a band, and a chance to win prizes and an opportunity to meet Ravens players and coaches. This year's Bull Roast was held at the Timonium Fair Grounds Exhibition Hall in February.
Family Picnic
The Council family picnic is usually held in August at a state park in Maryland. This event is open to Roost members and their families. In addition to the good food, there are games for the children. Last years event was held at Oregon Ridge Park in September.
