Derek's Play Room - During

Similar to Ty Pennington on Extreme Home Makeovers, there was a period of time where no one was allowed to see this room. Need I explain? Anyway, after a good afternoon of "cleaning" by Jon and his mom, it is now open for viewing. The plans for this room include finishing the wood paneling, updating the tiles and light fixture, and resurfacing the floors.  With no closet, there is plenty of room for Derek to spread out all of his toys.

This was the first area that Jon stripped.  We were so excited by the wood color that showed through that we decided no additional stain would be needed - just some light sanding and sealer. On the right is the stripped floor, ready for sanding.
