I retired January 1, 1988. About ten years later my wife talked me into taking some art classes at the senior center with her. First was a drawing class then several watercolor classes. Just prior to that I bought some Der Went watercolor  pencils and an instruction book or two. Next came Caron d'Ache water pastels and oil pastels. It has turned into quite an avocation  since.
