Week 1:  Surrender opened the season with a can of whoop-ass, and Rich's RadDogs received the full serving.  RAIDAS started out the 2006 season much like he finished last with a resounding win, and the top score of the week.  Big Bad Buffalo Bill made a great debut with 169 points on the week with a victory in his first game.  Two other new owners LA Express and the Fighting Hydrants nearly won in their debuts each losing by only a single point.
2006 Weekly Summary
Week 2:  Well we are now through the first two weeks of fantasy football, and we have a log jam in the league, with 5 teams tied at 1-1.  We have also had a couple of RRFFL single game records broken early in this season.  I have updated the "Records" page to reflect those efforts.  I calculate the records based on the points for a position.  So for example Mad House played 4 WRs in his line-up in week 2 and they put up 75 points.  The previous record was 67 from Surrender last year.  Surrender did make it close in defending his record with 70 points from his WRs this week.  I also have started tracking points from IDPs this year.
Week 3:  Surrender continued his run of dominance.  He is averaging 214 points per week, and is getting great performances from almost everyone in his line-up.  Indy Revenge has also run off three games however his weekly average of 159 points has been less dominating.  RAIDAS continued the run of WR scoring, with a new record 76 points from his 4 WR set to break the week old record previously held by Mad House.
Week 4:  Surrender entered Monday night with a deficit in his matchup with LA Express, and right at game-time he found out that his star running back, Westbrook, was a last minute scratch.  Fortune struck as Mcnabb struck for 37 points and kept his undefeated record intact.  After this weeks action seven of the ten teams in the league are at or above .500.  Unlike last year where 2 teams with losing records made the playoffs it appears there won't be any falling back into the playoffs this year.  The weekly records page was threatened in many spots this week, but the only change is at the IDP spot with Rich's RadDogs pulling in 46 points this week.
Week 5:  As the week began the standings were tight and had the possibility of becoming a log jam, as all three of the 3-1 teams were playing against the three 2-2 teams.  Creating the unlikely, but possible occurence of a 6 way tie for 2nd place.  Rich's RadDogs did win, however the other two 2-2 teams, (Vote for Pedro & Heeerrnt lost their games).  LA Express led the way with a top score of 164 this week, and found his way into the win column.  Only Mad House has matched the ineptitude of the Oakland Raiders in going winless this far into the 2006 season.  Surrender continued his dominance rattling off his 5th win, with his team once again leaving his opponent in the dust.
Week 6:  Well the battle continued this week and once again Surrender was the victor. Vote for Pedro evened up his record with a monstrous 220 point effort for the top score of the week.  LA Express grabbed his second win, picking on the hapless Mad House team.  Despite a number of teams putting up high scores, no records were broken this week.
Week 7:  Despite a closer game, once again Surrender's squad delivered a win as Pedro's G-men couldn't deliver quite enough on Monday night.  This was a critical week in the standings as the top 5 teams all had a matchup with a team from the bottom half of the standings.  All 5 teams from the top delivered with a win creating a greater separation.  Indy Revenge knocked off the RAIDAS long standing TE record, with Alge Crumpler's monster day against Pittsburgh.  The WR record and IDP record were also broken this week.
Week 8:  After a brutal loss Rich's RadDogs took the one record in this league nobody wants to hold "Most points in a loss".  On any given week a 215 point performance can pretty much be counted as a win, but the RAIDAS stepped up with 228 points for the highest single week score of the year.  Mad House finally joined the rest of the league with a win, and Surrender was finally knocked off for his first loss of the season.  Fighting Hydrants, we the league, SALUTE YOU!!!
Week 9:  One of the toughest records in the league to break has finally been broken.  Indy Revenge no longer holds the single week record for RBs as his 86 point total (achieved last year) has been eclipsed by the 89 put up by RAIDAS.   Surrender pulled off a Monday night upset, coming back from nearly 40 points down to pull off a 19 point victory.  Indy Revenge led the way with 220.5 points with a solid effort from everyone in his line-up.
Week 10:  After the heartbreaking loss in week 8, Rich's RadDogs was dealt another blow with a 219 point performance in yet another loss.  Surrender has established his team as the frontrunner for the #1 seed in the playoffs, with only RAIDAS having a chance to catch him.  Most of the playoff spots have been determined, with the final 2 spots still open.  Fighting Hydrants is in position to take one spot, and Vote for Pedro made his case for the 2nd spot in beating LA Express.
Week 11: In a battle for the top postion, once again Surrender prevailed this time knocking off RAIDAS.  Fighting Hydrants knocked off Voie for Pedro giving LA Express continued hope for the final playoff berth...the win also clinched at least the 5 seed for Fighting Hydrants.
Week 12:  Despite a herculian effort from rookie Joseph Addai, LA Express was extinguished by the Fighting Hydrants, led by a 57 point performance from the Baltimore D/ST.  Rich's RadDogs knocked off Indy Revenge in a possible play-off preview.
Week 13:  The playoff crowd is set...Vote for Pedro limped in after being demolished by Rich's RadDogs by 27 points, when LA Express failed to knock off Surrender.  Surrender finished the season with the top record, but the RAIDAS carried momentum into the playoffs in surpassing Surrender for the top points on the season.  Good luck to those in the playoffs.
