I grew up in Sapulpa, OK. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma in 1986, I moved to Los Angeles, where I worked at Graybar Electric Co. After about 2 ½ years, I moved to Hong Kong for two years.

When I returned from Hong Kong, I chose to return to Oklahoma. After a rough start of being back into the job market, I secured a position with the Oklahoma State Health Department working for the Eldercare Program in Craig County. In Vinita, I met my wife, Sally. We were married in December of 1992. Our first daughter, Audrey, was born in 1996. By this time, I was working for Rosewood Terrace Nursing Center and Craig General Home Health.

Sally and I moved to Guinea, West Africa and lived there for a little over a year. After a period of a few months, we applied for a transfer to Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, to become the West Africa Member Care Facilitators. Our second daughter, Emily, was born in Abidjan in 1999. We lived in Abidjan until a civil war erupted and we felt we could not return. We took a position in Chiang Mai, Thailand in June 2003. In June of 2006, we moved to Hong Kong for a different position. We returned to the USA in March 2007 and felt God's direction for us to remain in the US. August 1, 2007, I became the pastor of Immanuel Southern Baptist Church in Wagoner, OK.

The most important thing you can know about me is that I follow Jesus. When I was eight years old, I realized that I had been separated from God by sin. I learned that God loved us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to take our punishment for our sin. I learned that if I simply believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died in my place for my sins, and that He came back to life, that I would have forgiveness and everlasting life. So, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and I now have a place with Him for eternity.
