An inexpensive way to build powered model aeroplanes that you can fly.
There are three main types of powered model aeroplanes-
Relatively cheap to build, but require good model-building skills and great care in balance and flight settings. You have no control over a F/F aeroplane once it has taken off and it generally requires a large area in which to fly.
Expensive to build and require reasonable technical knowledge. Extensive training is required to successfully control the flying aeroplane without major crashes. Crashes can be expensive and R/C aeroplanes require a large area in which to fly.
Relatively cheap to build (like free-flight) with only basic model-building skills required. C/L aeroplanes are easy to learn to fly and crash damage can be repaired generally at little expense. Flying on 18m (60') control lines, the flying site only needs to be about 40m (130') in diameter. You are always in "control" of the C/L aeroplane.
This web site deals with building and flying control line model aeroplanes. It is aimed at the beginner and less experienced flyer with advice on building, flying instructions and free detailed construction plans.
