Bandsaw Boxes

Bandsaw boxes, or as some people call them 'bandsawn boxes', are unique collector boxes which are made by the use of a bandsaw, there is no other way to construct these beautiful pieces.  I began making them a couple years ago, randomly cutting shapes and drawers for them that make each one an eye catching piece for your home. Some people use them for jewelry while others simply to look at but whatever choice you make they are a lovely gift and addtion to your home.  These boxes can be made from just about any type of wood, or combination of woods.  The ones below are examples of some hade from red oak.  Please email me to enquire about costs and wood types.

This bandsaw box was made from a solid piece of black walnut and put on a purpleheart base. It was such beautiful wood to work with.

Two Zebra Wood boxes, both have Maple in them and each is uniquie with walnut and bubinga layered in for a beautiful effect.

To the left are oak 'warped' boxes that someone said I should call "Wonderland" because it made them think of Alice in Wonderland. Below is a "Fire Box" that was a fun one to cut. It is made of Padauk and Maple

Above is a box made from Bubinga and Padauk.  Bubinga has beautiful wavy effects in the grain. To the right is a Aromatic Red Cedar box that is very pretty on its own but the smell of the unfinished drawers gives it such a fresh smell.
