Art Club will meet in the art room, every Tuesday after school. We will not meet on early dismissal days, however, as I will be in a professional development meeting. |
Reminders: If your student has a cell phone at school, between 8 and 3 it must be OFF and OUT OF SIGHT. If not, it will be confiscated and will have to be picked up from the principal. Students can have water in class, but it must be in a clear plastic container. If a water bottle becomes a toy, I will confiscate it and they may pick them up from me after school. No bookbags or purses are allowed in classrooms this year. All bags must be small enough to fit into a locker. |

Hello everyone, Wow! Where has the year gone? It's 4th quarter already. I am planning to take students to the day of celebration at the Des Moines Art Center on Sunday March 29th. This will be the last day to view "American Gothic". There will be live music and dance, and a special showing of "The Wizard of Oz". We will take school transportation and there is no cost to get in. I have added a lengthy article on the merits of studying art in the public schools. It is definately worth taking your time to read it. Follow these links: "Why Do We Study Art?" and "More Arts, Better Schools" ~Mr. Byrd |
