Advanced Placement Biology is a one-year comprehensive college level study of biology. This is a rigorous college level class, which places an emphasis on an understanding of the various subdivisions of biology and the basic unity of life. The course combines lecture with double laboratory periods. There are 12 labs required by the College Board, however, there are several other labs done during the year. This class meets every day and does not drop for lunch. In addition, this course meets for four extra blocks during an eight-day cycle. The course is recommended for students interested in a biology major or related career. All students that complete this course are required to take the AP Biology Exam. |
