Grand Rounds 84 Posterior Synechiae - What drop can break it? |
Case History: This is a 24 year woman who had presented to the Emergency Department with a 9-day history pain of the OD. She sees OD 20/20 and OS 20/20-2 without lenses. The IOP was 14 in each eyie and t here was Flare #3 and Cells #2il
and significant hemorrhages, exuduates and disc edema. The fellow eye (OS) was completely normal. This photo of the eye is 2 weeks after the initial visit. As you can see, there were signs of posterior synechiae present. Questions: 1. What would you use to break the posterior syinechieae? 2. How would you manage this patient?
