History This is a 21
year old male of international heritage who reports the onset of a
small growth on the left lower lid of 1 day. This presentation
is five days later and was referred by the Emergency Room as a
"same-day" appointment. No history of trauma. The fellow eye
is undisturbed.
OBJ OU 20/20++. Body Temperature 99.8F Just from these images, what is
your working diagnosis?
A/P What is your call?
Dr. Hom's Response - The patient did have a
small hordeolum. Another provider, not trained in the eye, tried to
debride and it became infected. Oral antibiotics resolved this in a
month.
