Case History: A 62 year old male presents for a baseline retinal examination because of diabetes.of 7 years duration.  Over the last year, the patient noticed a yellow bump that started to "grow" on the patient's right eye. The most recent HbA1c result was less than 7.0% with 3 oral medications.

Entrance vision is OD 20/80 and OS 20/60.  The mass is soft, mobile and appears
yellowish. It is not pinkish or salmon-colored as in this photo.

Would you refer for excision? biopsy? or observe?
