| All of the RCW championships changed hands at Christmas Explosion. Danny Manners brought everything Sweet Daddy D could handle and more. The champion started off strong and had Manners reeling after a double-underhook suplex and a top rope hot shot. Manners found himself in a bad part of town when Badboy Jay decided to interject himself. Sweet Daddy D thought he had the match won after a modified neckbreaker, but Danny Manners kicked out. Manners came back with several pinning combinations and chased Sweet Daddy D to the outside and made the Primetime Players have a meeting of the minds. After the tide of the contest swung in Sweet Daddy D's favour he attacked the referee with a dragon suplex, leaving the opening for Badboy Jay to smack Manners in the head with the title belt. It wasn't to be that way. Manners ducked, Sweet Daddy D took the belt to the forhead and Manners scored the 1-2-3 for the victory. New lightweight champ Danny Manners. At the outset of the match Steven Styles brought out a close associate to even the score, James "Bipolar" Rafferty. Styles was distracted by Sweet Daddy D and Jay took advantage of it and attacked from behind. On several occasions, the Primetime Players tried to take adavntage of the numbers game. They seemed to forget that Mr Rafferty was out there at ringside. Badboy Jay regained the edge and was heading for victory when Swet Daddy D went for the assist off the top rope. Jay had Styles held for the free shot with the belt. Styles sprung free and was able to take full advantage and slapped on a submission he calls the Styles adjustment. Subission victory and new RCW champion Steven Styles. Adrian Walls and Vulture put on a technical wrestling clinic for the fans and for the entire thirty minutes both men pulled out all the stops. Adrian Walls went up 1-0 with the first fall at the fifteen minute mark. Walls took the second fall shortly after at the seventeen minute mark. Vulture finally scored his first fall at the twenty six minute mark with a 6 star elbow. Things looked as if Walls would take the victory until Vulture mad him tap out at the 29:58 mark. With the match tied at two falls each Commissioner Ted Venom decided that sudden death overtime was needed to decide the true winner. Vulture came right out and nailed a Vulture slam and Vulture driver. 1-2-3 Winner Vulture. The final event of the evening saw a triple threat Tag team elimination match for the RCW tag team titles. The titles were put up after Damion was assaulted and left injured, unable to compete. The Primetime players showed to be the most cohesive unit during the match and seemed to get under the skin of every other competitor. Vulture eliminated the team of Danny Manners and Steven Styles after he hit Manners with the Vulture slam. The Ptimetime Players took the opportunity to jump Vulture as he lay on the mat. After dispatching with Adrian Walls the PTP were able to hit a tope rope moonsault and diving headbutt. Thay quickly swept in for the pin 1-2-3. New RCW tag team champs. Primetime Players. |
