| Last resort was a huge success. Not an empty seat to be found in the Royal Canadian Legion as the stars of RCW set the crowd on fire. The nights festivities got under way with the Primetime Players introducing the newest member of the Primetime Posse, RCW Official Perry Milano. It would be a painful joining as Mr Milano was initiated with a Primetime beatdown. RCW champion Dante Priest put a run on the Primetime Players and Challenged Badboy Jay to a match for the RCW title and like that it was set. First match on the card was a triple threat for the RCW Lightweight title. Sweet Daddy D defending against both Danny Manners and Damon Mercury. Things got off to a hot start as Manners and Sweet Daddy D argued outsider the ring. Damon Mercury took advantage and nailed both men with a top rope suicide dive. The match saw all three men pull out all the stops and light the crowd up. Sweet Daddy D nailed Damon Mercury with a top rope arm drag and Danny Manners took advantage of a distracted Damon Mercury and nailed him with a power bomb as he hit Sweet Daddy D with a super plex. In the end the outside help of Badboy Jay and crooked officiating of Milano led to a hard fought victory for The champion Sweet Daddy D. Match number two saw to of RCW's super heavyweights square off in battle. Mauler challenged one half of the tag team champions, Damion. Mauler however had a not so secret weapon with him in Pyro. The masked sensation interjected where she saw fit making the odds stacked firmly against Damion. Damion put up a valiant effort but in the end Mauler picked up the win. Damions tag team partner hit the ring and issued a challenge for Mauler and Pyro later on. Match number three saw Vulture take on Adrian Walls in a best two out of three submission match. Right from the opening bell both competitors let it all hang out, going for submissions from angles never even imagined. It seemed that both men had the other well scouted as one move after another was met with one counter after another. Vulture displayed agility like few others and Walls countered with cat like reflexes. The first to take the upper hand was Adrian Walls making Vulture finally tap out. Shortly after, Vulture was able to even the score with the Vulture lock making the match one fall each. Both men were just inches away from the victory. Adrian Walls out of desperation went to the top rope to put Vulture away. It would not be the case. Vulture gained his feet and ascended the ropes to nail Adrian Walls with a Vulture slam. Both men lay prone and were unable to make it to the referees ten count. Result of the contest a DRAW. Match number four saw RCW Tag Team Champs, Brothers in Blood take on an intergender combination of Mauler and Pyro. Right off the bat, Mauler and Pyro displayed a taste for rule breaking, making quick switches while the ref had his back turned. Damion and Styles started to demonstrate what tag team continuity was all about, making quick tags and isolating an opponent. Pyro was the opponent of choice but proved to be more than willing to fight. Pyro seemed to be outnumbered but was able to take both of the tag team champs over with a head scissor DDT combo. Damion was in a bad part of town after Styles had been discarded to the outside. Pyro went for the clothesline and missed, Damion levelled Mauler and was able to get the one, two, three. Still RCW Tag Team Champs, Brothers in Blood. RCW Title Match, Badboy Jay took on Dark Child Dante Priest. Badboy Jay was escorted to the ring by the Primetime Posse including Kennedy Stratus and Referee Perry Milano. The match went back and forth, but the edge went to the Posse at several points. The tide swung irreversibly against Priest when Kennedy Stratus turned on the water works and started to cry at the sight of her uncle Badboy Jay being beaten by Dante Priest. In a show of unity referee Perry Milano tended to Kennedy while Sweet Daddy D was able to enter the ring and attack Priest. Sweet Daddy D nailed one of the best moonsaults ever witnessed, followed by a top rope headbutt from Badboy Jay. 1-2-3 new RCW Champion Dante Priest. As Jay and the Posse celebrated they were greeted by some unfriendly faces. They scattered and Jay ended up back in the ring with Priest. Dante Priest nailed Badboy Jay with the Inferno and BadBoy Jay received a beating from multple parties. Referee Milano was captured and dragged back to the ring. Commissioner Venom started the final match right away. Entry number one in the number one contender battle royal, Perry Milano. Entry number two, Dante Priest. Dante dished out some retribution on the crooked official and was enjoying the pain he inflicted. Third entry into the contest was Damion and he made short work of Mr Milano. Damion hit Internal Bleeding so hard it sent Milano through the rope sto the floor, rendering him unable to continue. Dante Priest then attacked Damion and the two went toe to toe. Danny Manners came to the ring sporting an ice pack from having the everloving taste slapped out of his mouth in the triple threat match. Seconds after he exited the curtain he was jumped by Vulture. During the course of the battle royal Vulture and Walls went at it. Sweet Daddy D made an entrance and while he gloated he was dumped to the outside, lasting only about five seconds. Mauler continued his assault on Steven Styles and Walls got in on the fun nailing a senton bomb from Styles' back to Styles' back while Mauler held him in a drop toe hold. Damion saught revenge on Walls and almost steamrolled him straight to that warm place south of everywhere. Walls ducked, sending Damion over the top rope to the floor. In the end after all 12 competitors had entered, a 13th came through the curtain. None other than Steven Hawkes making a surprise return to an RCW ring. Right off the bat he went straight for Franchise Steven Styles. After all was said and done Steven Styles dumped Dante Priest out of the ring and became number one conteder. Next show December 17th Leduc Legion hall. |
