place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them
for evermore.  My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.  And the heathen shall know that I the Lord do
sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for
evermore.".
The passage started with God telling us of our transgressions ( "There is
no difference between the Jew and the Greek..." ), and progresses into Him
telling us that there is hope of salvation.  He then describes the government
of our Lord Jesus Christ after He returns.  Interestingly, these are parallel
statements at the front and back of the passage quoted.   Sandwiched in
between these two sections we are told how the Lord will accomplish the
promise.
The Lord is capable of literally accomplishing the dry bones episode,
however, if we look at it as being representative of our state, we see
ourselves, first in the dichotomous state.  Dead as dead can be, with no sign
of life left on our bones.  'Dem bones, dem dry bones'.  Next, we are given a
plan of salvation, which includes being filled with the Holy Spirit.  The plan
is accomplished and we stand as God's army.  To do what?  Why, to fight the
heathen, read that Satan's camp, of course.  We have already previously seen
what the armor and weaponry is.
It is interesting to note further, that in the passage, none of the
'saved bones' form a rooting section of fans.  Every one stands in the army.
No room for spectators!  Also, we see, I believe, the reason that Jesus said,
"Tell them I am.".  Consistently throughout this passage of scripture, the
statement, "So that they will know that I am the Lord", is repeated.  Not the
Lord their God, but the Lord God.  No other can stand in that position.  Sorry
Satan you lose!
Previously, I stated that the Dead Sea Scrolls were being kept under
wraps.  Just yesterday I received an advertisement from the 'Biblical
Archaeology Review' for an illustrated book entitled 'The Dead Sea Scrolls

After Forty Years'.  I have ordered the book and resubscribed to 'Biblical
Archaeology Review'.  I don't know at this point how much is substance and how
much is hype.  All I know is that, I've been commanded to test the spirits,
and that is what I intend doing.
At the end of Part I, I left the question of what is wrong with our
churches hanging.  I believe, that in Part III, I have opened the door partly,
to a view of the answer as I see it.  Simply stated, we need to get back to
basics, not as we see them, but as God sees them.  I could add pages showing
that we are commanded to "confess the Lord Jesus Christ with our mouth" once
we are saved.  We need to constantly study to show ourselves approved.  The
approval comes from serving in the Lord's army of liberation ( prophesying to
the field of bones ).  By doing this, we are coming closer to the original
state that God intended for us, and we should begin to see improvement in our
situation.  May we strive to walk in the image of God, until our prayer is
answered.  Even so come Lord Jesus.
