Astro Images
By Richard Crisp
I enjoy deep sky astronomy and capturing images of the wonderful objects up in the dark heavens through my telescopes.

I began the astronomy hobby in November 2000, and have found it to be tremendously interesting. It is fascinating what all is up in the cosmos. Unfortunately many beautiful objects are very faint when viewed through common amateur telescopes in the average suburban neighborhood. This creates a significant obstacle to observing the full magnificence of many deep sky objects such as nebulae and galaxies.

Once again silicon technology has revolutionized another endeavor. The CCD camera and personal computer have made it feasible to view very faint objects from sites in comparatively light-polluted areas. Most of my images were taken from my backyard in the San Francisco Bay Area, which suffers from typical urban light pollution.

I hope you enjoy viewing my images as much as I enjoyed creating them.
