Throughout our history, the French and the British fought for dominancy. The following are a list of events that took place leading to and following the fall of Quebec. 1755- The French and British struggled to control the western fur territories. 1755- Deportation of the Acadians by the British soldiers. 1756- Seven years war formally declared. 1758- The British conquer Louisbourg. 1759- The British conquer Quebec. 1760- The British conquer Montreal. 1763- French rule ended in Quebec and 7 years war ended. |
