TEENS POSSESS SOME "UNIQUE" INTERESTS

Skaters drive us nuts sometimes! Their clothing is peculiar. They ride on sidewalks and do tricks in the street. Tip: Buy them a membership at a skate park.

Mosh pits, body-passing and dancing without intimacy--it's all so crazy. Remember, the lindy drove adults insane too!

Yes, They Are drawn to the occult. Not all of it is evil. Be wary if your teen is into black arts or satanism or violence. Look for artwork on notebooks and body carvings. Watching "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"does not make them wicked.


Give teens their small rebellions; their little victories. Let them get piercings if they must; allow them to color their hair chartreuse if they will; don't sweat the baggie clothing or their choice of music. Let them formulate a posture; an identity. If they are not hassled over the small things, they won't seek bigger and more frightening wars to wage.
