At the moment Resident Evil 4 is still on production. As well there are no deeper information about a release or preview, but CAPCOM has announced that Biohazard 4 comes out in 2002. RE 4 will only be released on Game Cube. Latley in June 2001 CAPCOMs Executive Producer Shinji Mikami let the world know, that their latest Horror game Devil May Cry essential was produced as part 4 of the RE series. The work on Devil May Cry [at this time Biohazard 4] began in the beginning of 2000. But after some time the complete Story and Gameplay was to different, so 'Resident Evil 4' was canceld and renamed in Devil May Cry. Now Shinji Mikami let the world know that the true 4th part of Biohazard is still in production. All in all it could be a superb game - better than all we have ever seen... At this time they are no more deeper information about it.
