Back Issue #7 January 24, 2003 V1N7 It's been real encouraging for me to see how God works through R4A. Thanks to all of you who have contributed or prayed for R4A. Following is an article you may find interesting. The Center Of The Bible This might seem pretty strange... But even if you are not a believer, you should read this... What is the shortest chapter in the Bible? Answer - Psalms 117 What is the longest chapter in the Bible? Answer - Psalms 119 Which chapter is in the center of the Bible? Answer - Psalms 118 There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118. There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118. Add up the 594 plus 594, and you get 1188. What is the center verse in the Bible? Answer - Psalms 118:8 Does this verse say something significant about God's perfect will for our lives? The next time someone says they would like to find God's perfect will for their lives and that they want to be in the center of His will, just send them to the center of His Word! Psalms 118:8 (NKJV) "It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man." "The Lord" is at the very center of the Bible! Now isn't it amazing how this worked out (or was God in the center of it)? Faith doesn't get you around trouble, it gets you through it. ~submitted by Anna Troyer~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Daily Strength "As thy day thy strength shall be!" This should be enough for thee, He who knows thy frame will spare Burdens more than thou canst bear. When thy days are veiled in night, Christ shall give thee heavenly light; Seem they wearisome and long, Yet in Him thou shalt be strong. Cold and wintery though they prove, Thine the sunshine of His love, Or, with fervid heat oppressed, In His shadow thou shalt rest. When thy days on earth are past, Christ shall call thee home at last, His redeeming love to praise, Who hath strengthened all thy days. --Frances Ridley Havergal ~submitted by Cheri Cross~ %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Prayer & Praise Bronwen Dozier sent in the following: "I want to just praise the Lord for what He has done in my life. He is such a loving Friend! He doesn't leave nor forsake us. He's with us each day of our lives, going through our trials with us. I just want to praise Him for what He has done, and look forward to seeing what He has in store for me in the future. Just praise Him all day long for He is so good!" Thank You, Lord, indeed. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Word Study by AprilRose Pilgrim "That ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God." I am thinking about setting up a website for R4A, where I could put back issues and things like that. I would appreciate if somebody who knew how to set up a website wanted to help out. Also, if someone knows how I can hide my subscriber list to preserve privacy. And if you have anything you'd like to submit, I'd like to see that too. Thanks, and keep looking to Jesus!
