Michael: you a psychologist
realize2actualize: something like this
realize2actualize: naturally trained though
Michael: nice..
Michael: you do therapy
realize2actualize: all the time
realize2actualize: so, what can I do for you?
Michael: just wanted to know, what therapy you follow
realize2actualize: I don't follow any kind of particular therapy
realize2actualize: common sense therapy maybe, some aspect of gestalt, talk therapy... but basically it is based upon the assumption that we all have the need to express and share ourselves, to be listened to, to relate ourselves
Michael: you heard of logotherapy
realize2actualize: oh yes
realize2actualize: Victor Frankl
realize2actualize: very much so
Michael: he's awesome
realize2actualize: yes, he sure is
realize2actualize: amazing what he has endured, and yet, developed this outlook
Michael: very humanistic theory
realize2actualize: that nobody can this, our last freedom, the freedom to think, to have goal, and to believe in this goal so much that no suffering can take this away from you, and as he said, if you have a "what" to live for you can deal with almost any "how"
Michael: you read any Jung?
realize2actualize: yes, of course
realize2actualize: I studied the best of them all and extrapolated the wisdom contained in different works from different authors and psychologists
Michael: which works did you like of Jung
realize2actualize: I don't want to take time now to talk about specific books
realize2actualize: I rather would like to know what it is you seek in like, and what it is you seek from talking to me. Sorry to be that direct, but I rather like to cut directly to the case as time is a very important commodity to me, as in life
Michael: just data
realize2actualize: sorry then
Michael: so you follow any religions
realize2actualize: no
realize2actualize: < freethinker
Michael: no higher power
realize2actualize: religion can be a a dangerous thing
realize2actualize: within ourselves
realize2actualize: the higher power
Michael: when used by the wrong man
realize2actualize: not outside of us
realize2actualize: we all have this power
Michael: so you agree with the existentialists
realize2actualize: are connect through it
realize2actualize: I somewhat agree with everyone
realize2actualize: since I have come to realize that life is not about what you agree with, or even what you like, but rather that all those ideas and opinions and human emotions and values and virtues and vices all make up the world realize2actualize: we have power to create ourselves
realize2actualize: the question of how we human beings and this planet came into being concerns me less
Michael: agreed, to some degree.. i feel we are more like objects to be interrogated
realize2actualize: I am more concerned with how we use our powers while alive
Michael: nice insight
realize2actualize: thing is, we are subject, and we have to learn as such
realize2actualize: thanks
realize2actualize: Erich Fromm
realize2actualize: name sounds familiar?
Michael: yes
realize2actualize: he is my main teacher
Michael: ive heard he has some good works, haven't dove into him
realize2actualize: his work has inspired me greatly
realize2actualize: more than anybody else I presume
Michael: so what do you think of the collective unconscious
realize2actualize: I am sure that it is going to be a great experience realize2actualize: it very much exists
realize2actualize: what level we humans think on, what level we exist on
realize2actualize: but you talk about the unconscious
realize2actualize: well
realize2actualize: I think everything
realize2actualize: begins within ourselves
realize2actualize: how we think, how we live, how well we are in tune with ourselves and others, or how removed and separated we are
Michael: the world implies a perceiver
realize2actualize: we all are that
realize2actualize: since we all perceive
realize2actualize: and our perception create our reality
Michael: yes
