Hobgoblin Subraces

Aquatic HobGoblins
Probably created magically, these HobGoblins have adapted themselves to live underwater. There skin ranges from yellow-green to aqua blue and their hair tends to be dark green to dark purple. They are hunters, but still make friends with some of the more deadly animals of the deep in order to survive against their enemies there.

Night Hobgoblins
These are foul, ugly creatures that reside in the Underdark. They are crafty, deceptive and incredibly cruel and evil. They are very short compared to normal HobGoblins and some suggest they are actually more closely related to normal goblins despite calling themselves the "True Hobgoblins". They have wild color skin which can range from anything on the rainbow and they actually don't have any hair. Their eyes glow bright white and they have no visible pupils or irises. Encountering one of these creatures often makes their more frequently encountered cousins seem kind-hearted and honorable. Night HobGoblins keep slaves and rival with the Drow. They are known for having dangerous Wizards and Assasins that make others hesistant to try to attack them. Those that do and see them heal back and disapear before their eyes are hesistant to fight such creatures again. Only the lucky and skille can overcome opponets like this.

Half-Hobgoblin
A cross-breed between Humans and Standard HobGoblins. More often called Half-Goblins since it is easier to say, and certainly gives the same impression. They are almost indistinguishable from humans. A little taller, a bit more feral and tend to be better athletes than normal humans. However, they don't learn Crafts or Professions as quickly. Most become Hunters, and those who's origins are known are usually treated poorly and keep company with Half-Orcs and Half-Elves.

Hob-Elves
A cross-breed between Elves and Hobgoblins that usually only occurs when a much greater threat appears such as Undead Armies, Dragons or even nature itself such as the great Deserts of Zakahara. They tend to be a few inches shorter than the average human, but still very tall compared to Elves. They tend to be tricksters and pranksters who love riddles and find deception to be heroic. They are fun-loving, careless and often reckless. They get along fine with Elves, HobGoblins, Humand and especially Halflings, however Dwarves, Orcs and many other more serious minded races have a deep hatred for them.

Tengu
The humans have the Tieflings, the Elves have the Fey'ri, the ORcs have the Tanarukk and the Hobgoblins have the Tengu. It is unknown exactly what kind of demon this race originally spawned from, some say that it was called the tengu and these are rather dilluetted versions of that once great race. The Tengu can actually turn other creatures into their own by capturing them and putting them through a magical curse while they are still virgins. However, they also reproduce naturally. They have feathers for hair, usually colored black or purple, glowing red eyes and a greenish-tint to their skin.

HobGoblin Magi
The first people to come across these creatures weren't certain whether they'd come across a smaller version of the Ogre Magi or a creature that was created to mimic it. They are the same proportion and size as normal Hobgoblins, except for the horn that comes from its forehead and the blue-green skin. Hobgoblin Magi are extremely rare and extremely deadly creatures. While they can be more easily taken down than an Ogre Magi, they are far more intimidating and gain minions far more easily.
