Fly Away
10/9/03
I'm lost, how could we be so close, when you're so far away?
I once felt fine being alone, but I want you more each day
It's odd how I can smell your scent, floating through the air
And I can feel your body against mine, hands running through my hair
I'm torn, so trapped within the comforts, that place that I call home
Though all at once I'm longing for a place that is unknown
I taste your lips, so red and full, and feel your trembling breath
And I hear you whisper in my ear till nothing else is left
I'm gone, away within my mind, to where your body lies
To where I can lay next to you, and hear your moaning sighs
I feel your heart beat next to mine, I'm aware of what you feel
And your speeded breath against my neck, it all just seems so real
I'm found, and I can smell your hair, as it brushes past my face
And your earrings glimmering relief to some enchanting place
Soon, we'll both be tired, and our moist bodies will rest
And I will hold you in my arms, passing the taxing test
