The King and Me
One day, in early September of the year 2001, I was walking down the street when I bumped into a man and knocked him over. I said I was sorry and dusted him off. He then told me he was the king. King Darnesis was his name. We went back to his castle and had some coffee and donuts and stuff of that sort. It was then that I met his daughter, the princess. She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen with shoulder-length blonde hair, which she had up in a bun-ponytail thing. The king introduced me to his daughter, Chelsea, and I went home to contemplate what I had seen there.
The next day I was walking down the street. There who did I see but the beautiful Chelsea… as she was being grabbed by some man, thrown into the back of the car and driving off really fast. I took a look at the license plate, and memorized it really fast. XLP-709 from Ohio. So I ran really fast to the king's castle and told him his daughter had been kidnapped. We jumped into my 1970 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia and headed toward the license plate place. They told us that the plate belonged to a guy named Earl Jones and gave us his address. So we drove really fast to Earl Jones's Place and found something no one in the world would ever believe. We found the place where they keep most of the missing of the world, right in the middle of Ohio! I couldn't believe it. By pretending I was a kidnapper, I found out the following information:
The people who ran this place were children of past kidnappings.
Chelsea was there. She had been brought in that morning.
All the people kidnapped were put into a contest of which they would run through a quarter-mile long stretch of dangerous obstacles and into a certain building. While you were doing this, there would be men in a nearby tower with a giant gun that shoots big metal spikes at you… kind of like railroad spikes. If you died, you die, and If you make it into the building you become a kidnapper and part of the gang.
This was all really bad. I couldn't understand how this was fun. Nonetheless I found out when Chelsea's run was to be and joined in. I sent the king inside the front door with some of his guards and hoped they could clear the place out.
I was in a line of mostly teenagers and children waiting for the "game" to begin. There were 12 of us and I found Chelsea very easily. I walked up behind her and told her who I was and why I was there… to save her. She remembered me and the kidnappers yelled for us to start. I grabbed Chelsea by the hand and started leading her around. I saw a few people get impaled on the flying spikes. That just made us run faster. We dodged tons of obstacles; walls and barriers and stuff, none of which would help because the spikes flew strait through them, and finally got to the door of the building we had to enter. It was a glass door and it was locked. This was some sort of sick joke. It just made us easier to kill! Spikes were shooting at us now and landing everywhere around us. I decided to risk it and jumped through the glass and into the room. Chelsea ran through and we were safe. The king was there with his guards and a ton of tied up kidnappers. Of the 12 people who started, 3 survived; myself, Chelsea, and a boy named Bill. I stood up, cut up and bleeding and walked over to a corner of the room. Chelsea ran over to me and sat down next to me, started hugging me and kissing me like crazy. She was pretty beat up herself. The king said she seemed to love me and I had the right to marry her. Within minutes, the cops were there and all the kidnappers were taken to jail and executed. Chelsea and I lived happily ever after.
