Silhouette
12/21/03
I can not find a simple way to express how I feel
You’ve heard it time and time again, as a repeating movie reel
But even if I were to take Shakespeare’s words away
They still would do no justice to the words I try to say
I stumble, falling gently to the hue of your brown eyes
And the gentle touch of your soft skin seems to entertain our signs
Times have changed so slightly, yet it all feels new to me
Yourself and I, entangled, as each other’s all we see
I lack the power in my mind to say what you don’t believe
But perhaps, with written word, I’ll reach what I can’t achieve
I get lost gazing into your eyes, it’s like another place
When my lips meet your so gently, and I caress the beauty’s face
It’s like an angel rising from the bottom of my soil
And holding you so close to me makes me feel oddly whole
When we’re apart, I fall asleep seeing your silhouette
Reaching, I can not quite obtain the touch I can’t forget
I find myself awake at night, thinking about you
Longing, loving laughing as I share my feelings true
And sometimes while you question the importance of your worth
I can’t find a way to say you’re the most beautiful on Earth
For we’re both scared of what the big emotion will entail
The good, the bad, I’ll be the first to raise my snow-white sail
And as we’re not sure how or when to speak words "I love you"
Oddly enough, I can’t deny, I think I truly do
