My Biography

Well, I guess I better tell you a little something about myself. I was born and raised in Los Angeles California, a regular "California Girl". We moved around a lot growing up so I was quite shy. I spent most of my time reading and writing books. No, I haven't published anything, I simply wrote to ease the loneliness.

I do have two sisters and a brother but we aren't close now or growing up. My parents were young when I came along, so growing up with them was a trip. They were the proverbial partiers. I grew up listening to Aerosmith, Credence Clearwater, The Doors and other bands like that. Looking back on those years, it was pretty cool.

When I graduated from high school, I went into the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. I learned to be a nurse and work trauma emergencies. I enjoyed my time in the military. I was also in the Air Force Reserves after my time in the Navy. I was a Combat Arms Specialist. That was blast. I learned how to shoot and maintain a wide variety of weapons, from a 9mm Berretta to a grenade launcher. I was always kidded with about being able to shoot someone and fix them back up. Yea, a regular Rambo.

I've moved around a lot in my adult years. I guess I'm a gypsy at heart. I have finally settled down in a little town in Oklahoma. California Girl goes Country! Not quite as bad as all that but I do enjoy living out in the country. I live near the mountain ranges (well, very large hills) in this part of the country. I'm still reading and writing but I also ride horses (not so much since my accident) and raise livestock. I work from my home as a Medical Transcriptionist. It's a good living. I am disabled from a car accident I was in back in '94. My favorite authors to read are Patricia Cornwell, Jonathon Kellerman, James Patterson, Stephen King (Of course!), Anne Rice, Dean Koontz, Robin Cook, John Grisham, and the collective authors of the Star Wars collection. I have a regular library of books in my home. I am taking some college courses to keep up the my many skills.

My favorite music groups are still Aerosmith (saw them in concert), The Doors, Eagles, Kiss, Queen, Queensryche (saw them in concert), Bon Jovi (saw them in concert), Cinderella (saw them in concert), White Snake (saw them in concert), Journey, (missed their concert at the Rose Bowl) Bryan Adams, as well as some country singers and classical music. I can't stand rap.

I've NEVER been married. I've been in love but the feelings were never returned, so I moved on. I do have two beautiful children, a boy and girl. I have my set. My son is about to graduate high school and then he's going into the Navy as a Nuclear Engineer. (Update) My son is now in the Navy over in the Persian Gulf. He's a great kid as are all the boys and girls serving this country.
