Burning as One Star

By Master Genesis

As told to His Lady Recherche while He held her close on April 6, 1999

Once upon a time, a man walked all alone in the world,

enduring day after colorless day and sojourning in a realm

void of all hue save shades of black and grey.  He journeyed

a path of bleakness and despair through this dismal land,

gathering his cloak tightly around him as life's icy winds bit

into his flesh.  He had no loving home in this desolate place;

no glowing window to beckon him nigh ~ no cheerful hearth

and fire to offer warmth and respite for his soul.  Numb with

cold and utterly alone, he trudged on, ever  seeking an

enchanted land he'd never glimpsed, but only heard

whispered of by other souls encountered along the way.

They spoke in fervent tones of green fields ~ daffodils ~

golden trees ~ whipporwills ~ a land of peace, fulfilment,

and love.  How he yearned to dwell in such a realm ~ a place

where he could at long last discard his tattered cloak of

sorrows and bask in the caress of the sun...

Such were his thoughts one long and solitary night of his

journey, when his gaze was inexplicably drawn to the heavens.

There he beheld a beautiful star ~ standing, as was he, separate

from its counterparts, in a place in the firmament all it's own.

As he watched, the orb, as if responding to his notice, glowed

ever more brightly, illuminating his path and bidding him

follow.  It guided him to higher and higher planes, until the

void world he had always known began to fall away below,

leading him ultimately to a juncture he sensed would be of

great significance to the rest of his life.  Pausing in the star's

brilliance, he reflected well on this ~ then felt within the birth

of his decision. Turning his back forever, he left behind him

his world of grey and walked on in the heavenly light.  Soon

after, rounding the last bend in the path, he encountered  a

breathtaking sight.  Before his wondering eyes, shrouded in

the early morning mists of tike and adorned by a shimmering

rainbow, stood a mystical city of gold, vibrant with color and

light and filling his senses with the aroma of flowers and the

soothing calls of a dove.  Squinting at the unaccustomed

brilliance,  he raised a hand to shield his eyes, and beheld a

figure before him ~ a human form silhouetted by the

city's glow.  With sure yet graceful steps, the figure drew

nearer, and he rubbed his eyes to assure himself that she

was not an apparition.  Attired in a shimmering

gossamer garb, luminous in hues of beryl jasper and

pearls, he deemed this woman the lovliest he had ever

beheld.  Transfixed, he watched her lithe body glide toward

him, her petite form almost elfen in stature.  And as she drew

nigh, he beheld in her eyes a sparkle like that of diamonds ~

like the stars of a crisp winter sky.  her countenance was

radiant; her neck adorned by a collar of pure light  ~ and

he fell to the ground, overcome by her beauty and grace.

Troubled at seeing him thus, she spoke most sweetly to him,

imploring that he rise.  As he did, she gently took his hand

in hers ~ and he knew at last the unique and healing

warmth of her touch.

"Kind Sir?", she asked....

"Yes, my lady?"

"Look into my eyes and behold what awaits you there."

And as he gazed into those soft, loving eyes, he was

transported almost magically to the kingdom beyond the

rainbow and lights ~ a kingdom, he now realized, over

which it was his Destiny to reign.  Even as this revelation

swirled in his mind and raced through his blood, he felt

himself  being swept into a loving embrace ~ one which,

like a soothing balm, seeped gently into every open wound

of his heart and soul.  In a blinding instant, he was healed

and made whole ~ all of the pain vanguished ~ all of the

darkness  dispelled.

"My lord?", she then asked...

"Yes, my lady?"

"This collar worn upon my neck ~ doest thou know from

whence it came?"

"No, my lady ~ I fear I do not."

"You shall soon, my lord ~ for it came from deep within

your own dear heart."

"That cannot be, my lady ~ I have no such treasure in my

heart..."

"You do and always have, my lord ~ you simply knew it

not.  But  you shall from this day forward ~ for I wear it

now around my neck as a symbol of our everlasting love."

Overcome by the significance of these words, his eyes

filled with tears of release.  Gently taking her hand, he

kissed it tenderly, knowing in his heart of hearts that he had

at last found his One.  The One for whom he had longed and

searched his entire life ~ the One destined to join him in

his spiritual journey ~ the One sent by God above to be

reborn in him ~ and he in her.  Their souls embracing,

hearts entwined ~ he knew that his once blinding pain and

despair had been forever vanquished ~ utterly incinerated

by the fire of their union.  A new path now lay shimmering

before them; fresh in the bloom of love, honor, and respect .

Free at last and finally whole, he would savor every

moment of their loving sojourn together; fervently protecting

her with love and devotion and treasuring each golden hour

God allowed them to share.  For in this woman and her

precious Gift, he had at long last found his life, his love ~

and the destiny to which he'd been born.  In all of

these things his heart found immeasurable joy ~ and he

knew with certainty that he and only he was the Master

meant to receive, nurture, and forever cherish the Gift of his

Lady of Light.  For in the the consummation of that loving

exchange, both his light and hers were destined to merge,

bcoming a single, brilliant star whose radiance would illuminate

their path throughout their time on earth ~ then the very heavens

above for all eternity in the Life Beyond.  Pain, fear, and emptiness

destined to perish  ~ and from their ashes arise the Phoenix of

Roy and his Kelly ~ Master Genesis and His Lady Recherche ~

borne on the wings of a love and devotion imparted by God  ~ and

transcending both distance and time. Two souls forever fused ~

two hearts forever bound ~ two minds forever woven ~

burning as one star.
