Pirates Arrives in Port
Eagerly awaited PC buccaneer adventure is arrrrrready on its way to landlubbers'
treasure chests. A role-playing game that casts the player as a 17th century buccaneer, Pirates!
will also feature fighting game-style swashbuckling, open-ended ocean
adventures, complete with ship-to-ship combat, and social interaction in various
Caribbean ports of call. By capturing ships and acquiring booty, gamers will
work toward the game's ultimate goal, which is "to become the most revered and
feared pirate in history."

Raid Suspected
In yet another unfortunate turn of events the Royal Navy proclaimed that piracy
is on the rise in Caribbean basin. The latest news talks of a broadside battle
between 'The BlackQueen' and The 'Black
Dawn'. As far as we
were able to gather, the 'Black Queen' was defeated and Captain Delehaye given
shelter with the Royal Navy, while Ruthless
Captain Chase Preston and the 'Black Dawn'
escaped into a fog Bank.

Exhibition Of High
Art Coming To The Haven
The island's most prominent art dealer will exhibit icons, avatars, wallpapers,
screensavers and desktop themes by premiere artist Red Jacq and the first annual
Art Show. Organized by the Art Dealers Association
of Haven (ADAH), the exhibition will run from now and in perpetuity, at the
Seventh Regiment Armory. Proceeds from the The
Art Show Gala Preview benefit Haven House one of Haven's oldest and
most comprehensive agencies.

Fest Garners Rave Reviews
Saturday at Haven's City Center Fest saw a big crowd under bright skies and
a cool night. Part of a major three day festival of music and arts in downtown
Haven with six stages, six theater screens, and nine book vendors
spread over eight city blocks. A truly wonderful mix of sights and sounds to
tantalize the senses. |

University Announces Fall
Classes Heavy With Community
History
Classes will be filled
starting with a lottery
on Friday, Maximum of two
classes awarded per child
in the lottery. Registration
forms are due in to the
Haven Town Hall by 4PM,
qualify for the lottery.
After the lottery, open
class slots will be filled
on a first come-first served
basis at the Haven Brick
School, and continuing until
all classes have been filled.
Register in person for unfilled
slots at the Registrars desk
upstairs at the Haven Town
Hall. Extra sections of
a class may be added if
demand and available teachers
warrant so.
