Step 1: Sand Down as much of the rust as possible. Break away and lose or very weak metal.

Step 2: Spray the area in a Rust check formula to errode away any remaining rust

Step 3: Cut a piece of plastic margerine lid to fit in the hole. This will be used as backing. Old rags or newspaper works well too. Shove the rags up into the hole tight.

Step 4: Place the fiberglass auto body filler over the surface. allow to dry

Step 5: Sand down the fiberglass with a fine sand paper. 120 grit then wet sand it with 350 grit. do this buy hand. Make sure you try to sand it down so it looks natural. Try to follow the body molding in that area.

Step 6: After sanding is complete, paint the surface with a good primer. Then paint it with a areosolic paint to match the existing paint.

And that's it! easy huh? I've done it a few times already.
