My name is Amanda. I am a twenty-one year-old college student double majoring in Theatre and High School English Education. I'm a pretty short and am sometime mistaken for someone much younger than myself. I am a memeber of the United Methodist Church and attend a Methodist college, where i in my third year.
I have loved "playing dress up" since I was a very small child. When I was younger, I used to become fascinated with every movie that came along and would try to create a costume resembling that of the main character. Some old habits die hard, apparenty, since I still am designing costumes after characters in tv ad film and out of my own imagination.Occasionaly, i attend Rennaisance Faires, which provides an outlet for my creativity.
Some movies I particularly enjoy are Newsies, Labyrinth, Don Juan DeMarco, Benny and Joon, Detroit Rock City, Hair, Tuck Everlasting, The Secret of Roan Inish, Ghostbusters 1 and 2, Jungle 2 Jungle, Flight of Dragons, Ed Wood, Pete's Dragon, Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast, The Cat from Outerspace, Little Women, A Hard Day's Night, Help!,Nightmare Before Christmas, The Mighty Ducks 1 and 2, and Yellow Submarine.
My favorite bands/musicians consist of The Beatles, The Monkees, Rooney, The Who, Simon and Garfunkle, George Harrison, The Traveling Wilburys, Lost and Found, Peter Tork, Kiss, and many others. I mostly listen to oldies and classic rock.
My favorite actors are Max Casella and Johnny Depp. My favorite actresses are Bette Midler, Mary Wicks, Helena Bhonam-Carter, Diane Weist, and Wynona Rider.
If you haven't guessed by now, one of my favorite holidays is Halloween, but really I love all holidays and go all out for them. I particularly like Christmas ( it's a very cheerful holiday) and St. Patrick's Day (I'm ScotsIrish, among oher things, so it's a given). Halloween, however, is the only holiday where one can get away with wearing a strange costume and reciving free candy.
