Red Star ICL FC was inaugerated in the summer of 2001 by brothers John and Stuart Miller. The Miller's were managers of former Premiership club Walkern Social based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. Walkern Social were relegated from the premier league of the Hitchin Sunday Football League during the 2000/2001 season.

After the devastation of relegation the Miller brothers envisioned a change in direction for their club, both geographically and in personnel. They wanted a club closer to home with a squad who were more close knit and had been playing together for a while, they wanted style, the wanted flair, they wanted charisma and above all they wanted success, and then.............Red Star ICL was born.

Taking club captain Alvin Drummond, Giles Morgan, Gary P, Dave Mills and Mark Williams from Walkern, the Millers fused them with an undefeated amateur side managed and owned by
PW (Paul Russell) known as the ICL XI FC. This team was what they viewed as the missing link, so the two clubs, namely Walkern Social and the ICL merged to become Red Star ICL FC.

The result saw continuity on and off the field of play, the two sets of players emerged into a force who's paramount playing style could compete with any oppostion it was to face. With the rapour of both sides improving earlier than expected and winning becomming second nature the team seem destined for success, watch the story unfold here at the clubs official website........
