           THE WEATHER FOR THE EVENT LOOKED THREATENING BUT ACTUALLY TURNED OUT REASONABLY GOOD !   

              PRIZES IN THE FORM OF $300 GIFT CERTIFICATES WENT TO KELVIN BUCK FOR HIS F4U CORSAIR AND TO

              IVAN PETTIGREW FOR  HIS TWIN OTTER.

KELVIN RUNNING UP THE ENGINE AND DOING A RANGE CHECK WHILE HIS WIFE KEEPS THE PLANE IN PLACE. KELVIN TAXIS OUT FOR HIS FIRST FLIGHT.
ROBERT SMITH UNPACKING AND ASSEMBLING HIS AIRCRAFT. ROBERT SMITH'S P-47 REPUBLIC..  UNFORTUNATELY HE COULD NOT GET THE ENGINE TO RUN TO HIS SATISFACTION ON THIS AIRCRAFT.
ROBERT SMITH'S AICHI D3A (VAL)  NOTE THE STOUT ROPE TIED TO THE LEG OF THE BENCH WHILE ROBERT WAS ADJUSTING THE ENGINE AND CONTROLS.  THE PLANE FLEW WELL. JERRY TREMBLAY WITH HIS BEAUTIFUL WACO. JERRY HAD A MINOR MISHAP ON HIS FIRST LANDING WHICH PUT THE PLANE OUT OF THE CONTEST.
JERRY READIES HIS AIRCRAFT. IVAN PETTIGREW ASSEMBLING HIS BRISTOL FREIGHTER.  IVAN PUT ON A GOOD SHOW WITH THIS LIGHT PLANE IN SPITE OF THE WIND. 
IVAN WITH HIS PEARSE . . THE FULL SIZE PLANE MAY WELL HAVE FLOWN BEFORE THE WRIGHT BROS. KARL ANDERSON WITH HIS J3 PIPER CUB.
