Motor Trike Maintenance
                      Preventive Maintenance

  1. Grease rear universal joint every 5000 miles or when oil is changed.

2.Inspect and tighten all jam nuts.  Make sure a mediam grade loc-tite is used.

3.Grease two swing arm pins on the shoulder where Ladder bars rest every 18 months or every 18000 miles.  Use a high quality lithium grease.

4.Tire pressure for riding around town shou?ld be 18-24 # depending on geographic locations and road conditions.  Use 25-28#  for long interstate trips.

    5. Air shock recommendations--use 0-10# for one u?p.  Put approximately 20#  for every 40# of passenger weight and luggage.  The Progessive shocks have a maximu?m PSI of 120#.
                              LEVELING
Trouble Shooting and Solving the Problem

1.   Ifyou have vibration from 0-25 MPH, your drive shaft is not lined up correctly.  If the drive shaft and the front U joint do not line up perfectly (off by one tooth) make sure that the front U joint runs ahead of the rear universal.  Your drive shaft runs counterclockwise.

2.   If your Trike is not level and leans to one side, your ladder bars are in a bind.  Do this to correct the problem.

A....Leave the Trike on the ground and find a level area of concrete on which to work.
B....Check the tension on both fenders by pushingthem down.  Usually the fender that is lower is softer.
C....Unbolt the bottom ladder bar bolt on the side that is leaning.  Before pulling out the bolt, loosen the jam nut on the rod end.
D....Take the bolt out and run the rod end OUT anywhere from 1 to 2 1/2 turns until the bolt slides in freely.
E....Reassemble ladder bar and check to see that the Trike is now level.
F....Make sure that you readjust the diagonal bar so that there is no tension.

4.    ALL JAM NUTS MUST BE SECURED WITH A MEDIUM GRADE OF LOCTITE.  Make sure to do preventative maintenance and check all Jam nuts every 3,000 to 5,000 miles.

                        NOTE:
To aid in installation, compress spring at spline joint and hold with wire around each universal and draw tight.
